Greece has frozen all of Eva Kaili's assets. The Greek Anti-Money Laundering Authority made the announcement on Monday morning.
The measure, which also applies to relatives of the elected, concerns “bank accounts, safes, companies and any other financial asset”.

I'm not sure why some people are obsessed in criticizing Europe, maybe they feel deeply inferior or something ?
They are just here to shit on everything but never bring anything new. This is embarrassing for everyone.

Their own crew is corrupt

you're overvaluing their shock imo, as i said. if they're corrupt they'll crucify them and move on to the next, who they will also not be shocked to find out is corrupt. corruption is a known aspect, not a shock to anyone. their side or otherwise.

No way, this is like a group of die hard woke progressive Democrats shitting on Trump for decades and then finding out a bunch of their own were bought by Trump, lol

Check the above tweet. That's Hungary's Viktor Orban, accused of corruption by EU woke progressives for years and years. EU is keeping like 7B euros on hold because of alleged corruption and now this ^^

This corruption scandal is a disaster for the woke progressive EU and it's policies.

sure, and like i said if that Trump example happened they'd force out the people who were bought off, and move on to the next. its not like there's a shortage of people willing to work in Parliament.

so one of the 15 (!) vice-presidents of the european parliament, belonging to one of 8 (!) different factions, which consist of a huge variety of national and regional parties (around 200), did a quarter kushner.
unlike him though, she was immediately denounced by everyone, her assets were frozen by her own country (greece), she's stripped of her post, and it's a huge political scandal which will be thoroughly investigated and punished.

i would absolutely love for the likes of orbán and all the other corrupt autocrats to face similar consequences, lol.

don't get me wrong, i'm not saying this isn't a big deal, and i'm sure she's not the only corrupt EU politician, but the way that clueless americans, EU haters, and other ignorant idiots are trying to frame this is nothing short of moronic...

I dont even see how this is major news. I mean, I take it for granted that political systems ferment corruption. Either In Ireland, England, The US, Russia, China, Eurozone, big deal. This is not a new dawn, its just same old same old. I really dont see a need to finger point.

its like the scouts or w/e it is in YOUR country. there were scandal's decades ago "oh but its all fine now", but just wait 6 months and there will be another scandal, because adults and children always creates that risk. the same logic can be applied to politics. where there are interests and money someone can be paid, and that payment can and often times is, a bribe, aka corruption.

This kind of news is cheered by those who hate EU and refuse to tell their own country.

The only conclusion is that justice is still working in EU unlike alot of pooholes on the planet where some people are stealing billions to THEIR OWN kind without getting jailed at any time.

Various sources say this is a big deal. I just take a few quotes from this BBC article https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-63941509

Quote
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the accusations were "very serious" and called for the creation of a new ethics body to oversee the bloc.

Quote
Watchdogs and opposition MEPs said the bribery investigation could represent one of the biggest corruption scandals in the parliament's history.

What makes it more painful is that the S&D group (Socialists and Democrats Group) are a bunch of so called progressives that love nothing more than accusing others of the stuff they are now being investigated for :santa:
