shouldn't have outlasted 2016. Trump admitted on stage he doesn't pay taxes, "that's called business", and was applauded. releasing them never would have moved the needle. but he slow rolled it for unknown reasons.

Trump being proven a tax fraud wouldn't have moved the needle. Him being proven an impostor who isn't nearly as rich or successful as he claims to be, that might have made a difference. The whole Trump organization is essentially a marketing tool, the brand IS the product - so I can kinda understand why Trump doesn't want anything to come out that might damage this brand.

if he's actually worth like 50m$, sure.

but who's going to scoff at him ONLY being worth say 400m$, rather than being a billionaire. especially when he can respond "inspectors drastically undervalued Mar A Lago, it's worth twice that. but i pay less taxes so it's great".
