There was negative growth in q1 and q2.
From what I quickly looked up, q3 'growth' was basically an increase in government spending. (up over 1 trillion/year compared to pre-pandemic levels)
There was a slight uptick in online-only black friday sales that didn't match high inflation.
Whether the high priests decide to call it a recession or not is irrelevant to the reality of the situation. Locking down was devastating and people are screwed over from high inflation.
Massive fed-created inflation and government handouts to corporations and special interests fraudulently sold to the public as 'inflation reduction' and 'covid relief/stimulus' haven't made life better for the average person.
Everybody knows bro. We all feel it.
I saw a user saying inflation is nothing because wages increases to counteract it. I did the math showing that milk alone costs my family over $500 more this year than last year.
came in to let me know I am lying because nobody goes through three gallons of milk a week.
Not even making this up. His argument broke down to inflation isn’t that bad because you are lying about how much milk your family goes through. His buddy
even came in to say basically yeah dude some folks drink a lot of milk and they both slithered back into their holes.
Moral of the story these sick people will never admit how shorty the US has become in an extremely short two years. They are morally obligated to hate Donald trump, and if anybody breaks and says something is kinda shitty today, that means they will have to admit something was better under Donald trump. As real human beings we understand almost everything was better under Donald trump but these people are sick. They literally cannot concede one single thing.
