You have no ground to stand on unless the conversation is about how Australia tallied Covid deaths compared to the US. In that case I am sure Australia was much more honest about it.
Just make a topic saying “I hate America” and you will be taken seriously. Your country imprisoned people for having a dormant cold.
Compare Australia to New York. Or compare Florida to New York. A state that was “locked down” with mask mandates up until earlier this year. The ratio is basically the same. Couple million less people, few thousand less “Covid deaths”. You won’t, because that just further proves how the US counted their “Covid deaths” in a way that just blows up the totals, and doesn’t show that lockdowns and masks actually made things better.

USA didnt handle it well at all. Ozzis locked down till they had somewhat of an infrastructure to cope with sick ppl.
