China, Europe, and US are the 3 primary economic engines of the human species. China has the largest PPP of any country. A sudden vanishing of China would indeed plunge the world into a massive crisis.

However, China is also a one party rule hellhole. It's late stage democracy. You vote, the party gets 99%, legitimate opponents are jailed or killed. As toxic as American hegemony has been, we should hope China is never in a position to confer said hegemony.

Any tier 3 or higher city in China is a much nicer place to live than anywhere in North America.

The 'one party state' works very well and is much more responsive to the citizenry than any Western liberal democracy. (Also there are like a dozen parties in China.)

The approval rating of the CPC as measured by Harvard is over 95% for the national government, dropping as you descend down to municipal government, but even the municipal levels of government are more popular than most Western governments. https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2020/07/long-term-survey-reveals-chinese-government-satisfaction/

The US incarcerates 6 times as many people as China, and uses assassinations, blackmail and framing to destroy viable opposition movements, and even journalists who are too effective.

The PRC has never waged a war that wasn't on it's immediate doorstep, has a single overseas base versus the USA's 800, has lifted 800 million people out of poverty while the US has killed some 10-20 million worldwide over the same period, and has a completely non-interventionist foreign policy.

Thankfully, America can do nothing to stop the freefall it's in. It lacks the required ideological discipline, among other things.

Bud we're fighting bout genders in America. The religion that owns all the news network turn each races against each other while they enjoy the show and people get baited into . Just look at politics in America. Blue vs Red . I'm shocked people fight for these crooks when anyone who ain't part of any political spectrum see how bad politics are for the people yet people get baited into it without thinking twice.

We deserve to be annihilated for being that stupid globally.

Schools teach you to be good slaves in whatever field you are. They won't teach you how to be the slave master tho.

Fighting about genders and trans panic is a downstream issue of a more fundamental problem, which is that there is basically no possibility of doing politics in America or any of the other Western lib democracies. No one has any expectation that their kids lives will be better than their own, that climate change can be addressed, that the economy will improve and they'll be significant richer in ten years than they are now. So, since it's not worth worrying about, may as well get mad at each other for extremely fringe 'icky' issues.

Well, guess what? One of the biggest TV personalities in China is a trans woman. They have clinics for trans youth in big cities. They just don't have a big public meltdown over it because they have other things to worry about and an expectation that worrying about those things will result in those things improving.

And this difference between Chinese and American society is itself downstream of the biggest problem there is to solve - the issue of who owns the economy and uses it to do what. The reason the CPC is successful is because it tells businesses what to do and if those businesses don't do it then the owners are in big trouble. Elon Musk the other day was mocking and berating a senator on twitter. He would not even for a second consider doing that in China. And that's a good thing.

I appreciate the well thought out post, and I wholeheartedly agree that America is now permanently in the grips of dysegnic entrenched elites who have absolutely no affection for the American citizenry and have every intention of devouring what's left of heritage America for themselves.

However, I am very skeptical of the rosy picture painted about China. Just about every other take I've heard highlights a callous and uncaring society who walk over dying people without any regard for their inherent value as humans, and a highly oppressive government that of course has high approval, because disapproval is harshly punished.

There is an enormous industry of state actors, youtube grifters and lying journalists that are hellbent on making sure you have an awful opinion of China, knowing that very few Westerners will ever go there to see for themselves.

I lived in China for several years, I speak pretty good Mandarin. All I can emphasize is that the caricature that has been conjured up by Western propagandists is so detached from reality that it's hard to know where to begin. It's so all encompassing, there are so many lies, that it presents a problem wherein every other lie buttresses every other one.

Chinese people complain about their government so much it's actually annoying.

Chinese people love their countrymen so much that they have persevered COVID-19 restrictions for years to make sure that all their grandparents (who refuse to get vaxxed despite the government begging them to) don't get subjected to the kind of eugenicist policies we see in the West.

People here think of Chinese people as worker robots, but the average retirement age is in the mid-fifties.

People talk about the real estate problems of China, but the home ownership rate even among millenials is something like 70%.

It's impossible to get a tourist visa now, but when you can, I strongly recommend saving up enough time and money to do a proper vacation in China. If you learn a bit of Mandarin and have an open mind, it will break your brain seeing the disconnect between the China that exists and the one that gets portrayed in the West. It did to me! Visiting that country, then moving there, then coming back here to Canada, has made me despise being here. It's making me depressed to not live in China, lol.

I don’t think so.
But people in America don’t like socialist governments.
How could anyone unless they are in those governments getting all the juicy benefits?
