No, I am not trolling. I really mean that there is little connection. For example, there had been many scientific discoveries and innovations throughout history, however there was no capitalism around back then. But people could still invent stuff. Therefore, capitalism is not required for innovations.

Almost all scientific discoveries and innovations since money was invented have been done so to make money. capitalism is the system designed to make the most money. calling this little connection is spurious.
