That's actually not true at all. The individual right to own guns is a pretty modern interpretation that wasn't held for the vast majority of our countries history. Same as most conservative issues. They like to pretend that things that are less than 80 years old are "enshrined in our constitution".

Are you going to answer my questions or just dodge and deflect? Want to hear your stop gap solution until liberals can overhaul the 2nd amendment.

There is no effective stop gap. It's really that simple lol. Short of turning schools into literal prisons you will not stop this problem. Shootings are sometimes stopped by guards, but more often than not they aren't, and often the guards refuse to do the job because police are generally cowards.

Ban everything besides shotguns and bolt actions rifles. There's no need for anything else it covers all hunting needs. Restrict to only those who have done both a firearms safety and hunting course can purchase a firearm via issuance of a licence that you have to renew for a fee.
