What does the number amount matter? Its a value with no basis in reality, which will never be paid, against a guy who didn't even get to defend himself in court.


I think some future textbook on American law will point to this as an example case of what happened before widespread tort reform.

I don't know about the USA but here in Canada he could just declare bankruptcy after dolling out to his secure creditors first then divy the rest up. He could then just proceed to start a new business carrying on. Only thing you can't really outrun is Child support and Alamoney!

he knew he couldnt while also maintaining his audience.

he can bankrupt the company fiscally responsible, pay nothing other than some bland assets, then start a new one with his audience intact.

and by "didn't get to defend himself" you mean "declined to defend himself and didn't respond to mandatory disclosures that are a routine part of these lawsuites".
