FFS, as if the "actions" are even remotely comparable. What the US did in Ukraine, Russia did in the US.

They're pretty comparable. America supported the coup regime as it killed some ten thousand ethnic Russians in the Donbass.

Play the game, take the knocks. That's a lesson Ukrainians are learning today.

For extra fun, ask American diplomats to explain why they recognize Kosovo as a state but not Crimea as part of Russia.

If you can, since they'd never accept an interview with a "journalist" who would ask such a question.

So to be clear, in that I understand your position....... American diplomats recognizing Kosovo as a state, is a.... "aggressive war" ?? (per the below:)

NATO's various aggressive wars don't justify Russia's demands that NATO not expand to Ukraine

I'm sure Russia will "take the knocks" for their indiscriminate bombing of civilian targets from the Hague as well?

wut... here we don't execute the media for asking questions

You charge journalists and whistleblowers under a hundred year old espionage act and do everything possible to destroy their lives. You launch tank shells into hotels filled with unfriendly journalists. You arrest journalists and torture them in Gitmo for years.

But mostly, the media is controlled through access. If CNN or MSNBC pulled a stunt like giving an actual hard, combative interview to Antony Blinken about support swastika tatted Nazis, destroying Yugoslavia in the context of Donbass and Crimea, and other such unmentionables, the entire network would lose access to the administration for months or longer as punishment.

First and foremost, it was the Ukrainians who revolted. At most, we prodded them to it. At the end of the day, they seized their own independence from the Russian government. Russia fomented the Donbas war.

The media in the West is so conformist and in lockstep with the people it's ostensibly supposed to monitor and expose that most people probably don't know the quite recent history of suppression of journalism by the West.

Not just America, but Britain, Sweden and origin country Australia have helped destroy Assange.

Snowden had to flee to Russia of all places, after carefully planning his release of NSA documents to make sure American authorities couldn't rendition him back to a lifetime of torture in American prisons.

People have never even heard of the Palestine Hotel in Baghdad, let alone know that it was intentionally targeted by the military.

They don't know the name Sami al-Hajj, or pretend to care what happened to him.

Instead, it's all just bullshit about how America has a free press and free speech and protection for whistleblowers and other such nonsense. All of the West hates journalists who actually do their jobs.

Our hands are clean, theirs are not.

It's easy to know your position on any topic without asking or being afraid of getting it wrong, because everything you believe is downstream of "deflect criticism of America, amplify criticism of enemies."

you'd do better if you learned to read context as context rather than automatic support of the USA.

you've done this since joining pard, and given that its @ santara makes you look far worse.
