looks can obviously be deceiving, but that kid does NOT look like a "republican extremist" to me. if anything, the old dude looks pretty republican to me, but again, this is just speculation. from what i've read, it just sounds like a really shitty excuse for killing someone while driving drunk.

i'm not surprised right wingers simply pretend the facts don't matter and uncritically run with the partisan narrative. they are desperate for this to be politically motivated, in order to make their lazy false equivalence.
there's a major problem though: even if their unproven claims were 100% true, there is a crucial distinction: "left wing" media (lol) and presidents (lol) are NOT targeting specific minority groups 24/7, making barely veiled threats involving firearms "
maybe the 2nd amendment people can take care of it" and physical violence against their political opponents. that kind of stochastic terrorism is almost exclusively a tool of right wing hate-merchants.
it's fair to say that you have unhinged extremist individuals on "both sides", there's no denying that - but while the left ousts, discourages, and denounces theirs, the right radicalises, encourages, arms, and celebrates theirs.
here's an actually corroborated story of politically motivated violence:
