this was the result of “peaceful protester” rioters like sioux and surfpunk attempting to “peacefully protest” in the aftermath of this incident. an incident where an adult male decided to commit multiple crimes instead of using the grubhub app.

Those are both indeed very good causes for CJ reform. my issue tends to be that no one on average knows either name, crawford specifically. yet we all know mike brown, george floyd, eric garner, etc.

Behavior by the public is going to have to be included in those reforms including behavior during interactions with the police and in reporting incidents to the police. Rayshard Brooks would still be alive and more than likely would have completed his sentence for DUI if he had simply complied with law enforcement. More than likely Crawford would be alive if the Karen that called 911 hadn't lied saying that he was pointing a gun at people. Even if he didn't know it was a BB gun surveillance video clearly showed what he reported to the police wasn't true.

Laws and law enforcement are a reflection of society. Simply put society is no longer like Mayberry, it hasn't been like Mayberry for a long time, and its never going to go back tom Mayberry. Sadly the days of Sheriff Taylor are gone and he wouldn't do well in the modern world.

Declining to press charges is not the same as the officers were in the right. Being drunk in public isn't a death sentence, driving while high on heroin shouldn't be a death sentence. Even crashing your car while fucked out of your mind shouldn't be a death sentence. Stupid people make stupid choices every day and shouldn't have to pay for it with their lives.

no fucking shit it was justified, Rayshard Brooks was given excessive amounts of leeway by the cops and he still decided to grab a weapon and fire it at police
