The leaders of China before Xi, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao, basically fit this bill, didn't they? I think it's no coincidence that China saw it's most rapid rise in terms of economic and diplomatic power during their tenure while China has made a lot more enemies since Xi took over.
If you ask me, Xi dropped the pretense of China being a peaceful, benevolent power too soon. Had China been able to hide its aggressive, imperialist ambitions for just a couple more years, they could have subverted Western societies and economies to the point of no return.
You are wrong here.
China never had the imperialist ambitions.
I can tell you why. And exactly why, in a very short couple of sentence.
Xi wants to earn money
Jiang refused to let him take control of Hong Kong and earn money.
Jiang wasn't very nice to Hu Jintao's team.
Ended up Hu Jintao supported Xi to power.
Xi came to power in 2013 end.
The Hong Kong protest started in 2014.
Therefore once Xi gotten all his power now, he is starting to earn a little bit of money and trying to get rid of all of Jiang's faction.
Jiang faction actually worked with the United States to make it very extremely difficult for Xi to work.
This has got nothing to do with imperialistic ambitions that the United States already have.
They just want to earn
moneyIn regards to the economies is it pretty much to the point of no return, it is a matter of time thats all.
