Realistically he was most likely selling drugs and what people are labeling as falsifying was most likely cops knowing he was selling but not being able to prove it so they basically lied to get to the legal threshold to get the warrant. We can never know but I wonder how many criminals were actually caught and arrested this way. I bet more than a few. World is never black and white. I feel like the show The Wire does a decent job at actually showing what real detectives in the weeds are like.

If a black man broke into a white woman's house, and she shot the intruder, you would have no issue with it at all.

You would be touting the right to bear arms and defend your property.

The guy had a legally owned gun and they had a no knock warrant issued based on lies. Seems like he was perfectly in the right to fire at intruders.

Or you can't protect your property and own firearms in American anymore?

The person who shot at her cops was her boyfriend who was not the person accused of selling drugs.

Edit: also the point of the wire is there's good and bad people on both sides of the law

I don't think you have the case correct. Kennith Walker was her boyfriend in the house and there's no evidence he was selling drugs.

Her ex-boyfriend who she left well prior sold drugs.

Police manufactured a story that was false to get a warrant, which resulted in all of this. Now they're being charged for both lying and then trying to cover up their lies.

So unless i'm missing something there's absolutely nothing that warranted any of this and its some of the worst police work imaginable.

It is possible i'm missing something. The old PARD thread when it happened is back many pages ago now and its been a long time. I was going to use it but the age of it wouldn't let me.

If her ex was selling drugs out of the place then the warrant would be justified no? I guess the question is how long ago was that before the raid? And did they execute the raid based on current boyfriend vs last boyfriend accusation.

Yeah but they had no evidence of that. The postal service even confirmed there was no packages going there.

To our knowledge there's nothing known showing drugs were coming from that house.

I think that's ultimately where we are at and why the officers are being charged.

And that's kind of the point I was making before.

Not enough evidence for warrant =/= innocence. It's entirely possibly the ex was actually selling but they could just never prove it, hence them lying to get the warrant.

Not trying to justify what they did because obviously them lying about the warrant is wrong and they need to be held accountable but people are pretending this is basically a bunch of racist cops that went in there to gun down black people and now they are getting away with it.
