I mean NATO withdrawing from Eastern EU would be out of the question but the West could have given guarantees that Ukraine / Georgia wouldn't receive NATO / EU membership in exchange for Russian guarantees that they wouldn't invade.
It's a give and take situation, can't have it all.

But I can assure you China will invade Taiwan sooner or later that is a guarantee. The invasion can only be delayed but not prevented. Russia and Ukraine on the other hand can be prevented.
yes, but the west clearly had no interest in stopping this, now the ukranians are the next victim in another proxy war
china going for taiwan has always been a guarantee, but imo the obstacles are bigger for them compared to russia
taiwan is not a pushover, the chinese military is completely untested in battle
they would have to take the island blitzkrieg style to not have the next great war
i doubt they are able to do this
