I mean that's basically what they do, SWAT teams respond with shields and breaching equipment. It might take 30-60+ minutes for them to get there. School officers aren't equipped for siege scenarios. And why should they be? Its not like you can prepare for every determined attacker in the very rare instances like this. Lets say you did, we spent billions and every school was armed to the teeth and cops patrolled with body armor. Besides the increased amount of gun accidents, what happens when the bullied loser gets his daddy's semi truck and drives it into the classroom at full speed and splatters everyone inside? Gonna outgun 35,000 lbs of steel at 80 MPH?

Two other school shootings planned and only foiled because people were stupid enough to brag all over social media first.
