If 2024 indeed ends up being a Trump/Biden rematch, they might schedule the debates in a nursing home.
It's time for both of them to make way for the next guard, for people who aren't drooling, rambling fossils with early-stage dementia.

Biden can't even properly quit:
"the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority of both Houses of Congress"
Amazing situation.

I mean... the strategists at the DNC surely knew that Biden's age was a risk and had the scenario where he steps down in favor of his VP after a midterm shellacking in the back of their minds. What they imho didn't anticipate is that Kamala would be so unpopular and inept, going into the 2024 cycle with her as the Democratic standard bearer would be a gigantic liability and political risk. Essentially, they have no other choice than hoping that Biden can keep it together long enough.

I think whatever would have be the VP, the republicans would have done everything to block the processes to maintain chaos, by letting 1 or 2 of them to keep voting "no", without sanctions from the party.

Tonight, we had primaries in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Oregon, Idaho, and Kentucky.

Pennsylvania:
John Fetterman easily won the Dem primary and will face off against Dr Oz or hedge fund CEO Dave McCormick. The GOP race is extremely close at the moment with Dr Oz ahead by only 1k votes (at the time of this post) with an estimated 95% of the vote in. This is an important seat because it's one of the few that Democrats can pick up even if there is a red wave. For the governor's race, MAGA candidate Doug Mastriano will face Josh Shapiro. The governor's race is now rated "lean Democrat" instead of toss-up given that Mastriano attended the Jan 6 event.

North Carolina:
For the Senate race, former NC Chief Justice Cheri Beasley will face Rep Ted Budd. Polling suggests that Budd has a slight edge and the GOP will likely keep the seat. The most interesting news tonight came out of 11th district where MAGA cripple Madison Cawthorn was primaried. Apparently, you can't expose your genitals and thrust them in your male cousin's face without consequence. The GOP's treatment towards Cawthorn is a prime example of their bigotry.

Idaho:
You probably remember stories of Idaho's lieutenant governor issuing executive orders when the governor left the state. Well, she just got her ass kicked in the election.

Big news: the people of San Francisco decided that they've had enough of all the car break-ins, heroin addicts, shit in the streets, etc. The DA was overwhelmingly recalled.

LA MIGHT be getting a Republican leaning mayor.

kind of odd the DA was recalled when he was just exerting the will of the lefties. guess covering up actual hate crimes and excusing violence against certain minority groups was a bridge too far even for San Francisco voters

They only want to "help" if it doesn't affect them. As soon as the going gets tough, they bail. Look no further than Skinned. He would rather surround himself with white people who overdose by the dozen on a daily basis than live next to a person of color.
