What you just said wouldn't teach them respect. It wouldn't even be remembered in an hour.
High school isn't for learning trades. It's for learning the basics of a wide array of different things, and human sexuality is absolutely an appropriate subject to have a class on.

lifelong segregationists like robert byrd, george wallace, and joe biden would be/are pushing this idea of talking to 5-8 year olds about sexual topics. you want this as well.
that’s your tradition. johnnymccoy isnt even American, you dunce.
normal people want want schools to focus on education and having age-appropriate discussions

Believe it or not, it's entirely appropriate and simple to teach kids what being gay or trans is and can easily be done in an age appropriate way. Kids are really receptive to simple explanations in a way that adults who have been brainwashed to be against something aren't.
Tell them that instead of boys liking girls some boys like boys and some girls like girls and they're just like "okay. Makes sense". Instead of grown adults in this topic saying we should beat it out of them.
Their parents are giving them lessons, for sure, then act like teaching them lessons is bad.
