Yes but if the US got directly involved the measures Putin would take would be a lot more extreme. I honestly think he wants the US to get involved.

I’d have rushed their membership to EU and NATO. Putin would bitch and complain and throw threats around but he wouldn’t have invaded then.

Gotcha. Problem is, all the countries have to agree to let them join NATO. France and Germany have been against Ukraine joining in the past. With everything going on, maybe it finally changes.

Definitely changes since both are sending equipment to them now. Putin made a very big humanitarian interest mistake in the long term. I wouldn’t be surprised to see notoriously neutral countries like Finland and Sweden join too now.

25th and 59th most powerful militaries in the world. Not substantial but 25th isn’t exactly anything to scoff at.
