Blaming Trump for temporarily withholding lethal aid that Obama refused to give in the first place, but Trump actually did, is hilariously nonsensical.
Obama sent teddy bears and MREs. Trump sent javelin missiles. They invaded anyway. Now its somehow Trump's fault that the javelins may have been paused by an indeterminate, possibly zero, length of time- after years of the Obama/Biden administration refusing to ship lethal aid to Ukraine for fear of provoking Russia?
Honestly, there's a better argument that Putin is invading right now because of BOTH trump and biden: Provoked by western aggression under Trump and seizing upon western weakness under Biden. The fact Trump gave Ukraine lethal aid signaled crossing an unacceptable line that Russia needed to respond to before they could be folded into NATO and made a nuclear threat on Russia's border, and you can blame Trump for escalating beyond the status quo, which provoked a Russian response. But when Biden came to power and made it clear he was a paper tiger that would let Russia walk all over him and not raise a finger in response, Putin had his opening.
At least that is a coherent analysis. It may or may not be correct, it may contain some kernel of truth. It justifies Trump saying 'this wouldn't have happened if he won in 2020', but it might have happened in 2026 anyway.
I don't think anybody is blaming trump outside of him being a Russian asset.
