Yeehaw bro I must want the 1950s and really like boots,. I have a whole collection.
No other reasons for disagreeing with big government advocates on policies. Its "simple"

but 1950s tax rates!!!! debunks everything I thought I knew. Thanks for showing me the light.

Entry level DNC talking points.

Call it whatever you want. It still stands that corporations run America.
And they don't have the common person's best interest at heart.

You have this fantasy in your mind that I must love corporations or think they are altruistic in order to oppose big government policies.

Fantasies are not a good argument.

Ultimately mandatory paid leave imposes higher costs on both the employers and on employees who do not qualify for — or need — leave time themselves. It is essentially a transfer of income and wealth from non-leave-using employees to leave-using employees. The business owner, of course, is also faced with greater uncertainty and with higher employees costs, which can lead to lower utilization of employees overall.

..

Paid parental leave is not a free gift to workers. Mandatory paid leave is ultimately a tax that businesses will have to shoulder and will eventually be absorbed by employer, employees, and customers. When leave is mandated, it forces the employer to make expenditures in addition to the wages he already pays to employees. In turn, the wages employees take home are reduced accordingly.

Uncertainly is a problem as well. In a modern economy, labor mobility is sizable, and it’s not feasible for most companies — especially smaller businesses — to pay parental leave for an employee who will likely leave within a few months. In turn, an unintended consequence of government-mandated paid leave would be hesitance on the part of employers to hire new workers, which in turn reduces employment across the board. This makes the cost of business much higher and impedes business growth

When government mandates, regulations, and taxes are offered as “solutions,” we continue to perpetuate the cycle of government growth and stifled innovation.

being carpet against some gov't input to keep people from being over worked. ONLY because these companies have proven in large to not do it on their own,
gives that impression. You have a fantasy in your mind that everyone that wants sick leave is a communist.

I've never been accused of being carpet before. Thats a new one.

I didnt say anything close to your newest fantasy here.
I understand you dont want to accept that what you are doing is logically invalid and childish so you try to throw it back at me.

My arguments against government mandates aren't based on some fantasy of you being a communist or bootlicker. Nor are they based on a dream about 1950s and tax rate myths.

I heard nobody pays you like you pay yourself. I have a pretty good job that I enjoy but the older I get the more I wished I had learned a trade outside the level of general handy man. Deeply understanding plumbing and knowing how to repair it and use the tools for example would be awesome.

I could do private practice therapy but I really think I would hate that. I think I would honestly be bored doing a normal job after being used to what I experience every day. Someone literally got socked at 8 am today for very weird reasons and the unit has been a maelstrom of chaos, violence, and emotion for a few days in a row. I've physically restrained people for two days in a row, got a guy living on the street with Alzheimer's a forever home in a nice nursing home dementia unit so he isn't pooping in weird places on my unit anymore he is doing it there lol, had a guy tell me he called the cops on his girlfriend because she smoked all his weed and they brought him to the psych ward and he thinks he should stop calling the cops for help (I agreed they are busy and their time is valuable). I met a woman today who is a marvel of resilience and we're gonna get her somewhere better than she is, talking r e c o v e r y, which is my favorite thing in the world. But man, this shit takes it out of ya. I didn't get physically hurt and for that I'm grateful.

The pandemic has made everyone go nuts and we're really feeling it on inpatient mental health lol. All lockdowns need to end ASAP.

only soft boys talk about paid leave. Or those that are dependant on someone else to supply them with a right to exist.
