The ozon layer healed due to lowering CFK emission. The same can happen to global warming by reducing CO2 emissions.. Does humanity needs it? Kinda depends if you see our species as one organism or consider halving the population as not really 'thriving' at a specific time on earth (or beyond).
Eventhually I think we'll thrive later on, one way or the other. The chance of doing so depends on how we approach coming problems that reduce living conditions or possibly anihilate the intire species all together in our future.
Ah CFC is indeed the correct translation.
Well considering it healed while we were pumping out all this carbon I think we'll be fine. Things adapt. You can find info and studies that sway either way on the "climate crisis" aka global warming. Decades worth of warnings with no noticeable change.

No, because we'd be much weaker as a country. People who advocate for a national divorce are astoundingly foolish and believe that their lives would improve. The reality is that their lives would become exponentially worse.
I agree. And the splitting wouldn't stop at states or counties. It would just be a war zone as people fight for resources.

The rich have already been replaced. There are board members appointed by the share holders. The founder traditionally leads the board but not always and they eventually step down.
If we dont take action, yes. The ozone hole was fixed by a multinational banning of the chemicals that cause the problem. We havent seen that on climate change so it remains a threat.
And those shareholders and board members are what drive the decisions on legislation. In order to fix the problem we'd have to get rid of conglomerates as a whole. And the climate change thing (remember when it was called global warming, like when I was in elementary school) isn't as bad as they've made it out to be. It's happening but it's not doomsday. The warning has always been "10 years from now it'll be X and we'll all be underwater" and it's yet to come true. Hard to believe the powerful about this crisis when they personally benefit from it.
