OP prob works on the assembly line at GM and figured out he could get twice as many axles installed if he skipped grease.

BTW is there a term where people are so vested in their ideas of right and wrong that they willing to die on the hill for their point of view (or at least extremely closed to other possibilities)
I keep thinking it's sunken cost fallacy but it's more like a parent who is only seeing and making favours for their progeny in spite of them being in the complete wrong. A kind of nepotism but putting others especially of political ilk on a pedastool.
Example a commie props up their wonderful propaganda of their wonderful utopia but turns a blind eye when all the bad that comes with it and countless examples of failures.

What's it called when capitalists refuse to acknowledge all the bombing for oil, violent coups to open markets, and genocide to take resources from natives?

Very good Thor. Except that's a miss labelling greed which humans being doing since first fire. It's a vehicle that is currently being used not the driver, now replace it with any other, Monarchy, oligarchy, wild west, laws of the jungle. When tribals go over to a next village to burn, pillage, take their wives and sell the stolen horses to the highest bidder we don't call it capitalism do we now? Please don't simp on us now otherwise we will be talking with TiStuff with gun in mouth.

Now apply that same argument to communism.

I'm not advocating for communism, but it's pretty cringe when people downplay the atrocities of capitalism as "just what humans have always done" and then drum up the atrocites of communism as "uniquely communistic".

Corruption, extermination of enemies both internal and external, mismanagement, etc. has all happened for all of human history.

"but the scale is larger" yeah, American capitalistic hegemon is the largest scale destruction in world history. What of it?

I see your point. Maybe they tried to apply this utopian communist model that was doomed to fail and they knew it. Marx and his kin were not retarted completely so I would assume they asked questions what if it backfires or what happens when humans cave to their lower vices. Maybe the inner beast cannot be contained within man or at least takes a long time to be tamed and civilized. Our laws reflect that it all about you can't do that this or the other, painting man as a naughty child that cannot be trusted and must be kept on a leash any time some new way of doing things comes about. In order to keep the people out of mischief which is default assumption.

Capitalism isn't a perfect system it just the best representation of "earning your keep" that we have on this planet. It works great when the intention is good. For example Elon paving way for evs, batteries, space travel etc. There is no cap on wealth generation which is probably what corrupts most humans. There are other elements which are at play such as fractional reserve and debt based monetary system in place which by default creates ever increasing headaches of trying to balance wages and products.

You cannot deny that capitalism in its pure good intentions has propelled human expansion and development like nothing on the planet before it.

Communism is a step backwards in every way and when the experiment fails repeatedly over and over with over 100,000,000 subjects dead as a result you have to move on to something else as a scientist.
Capitalism is constantly morphing and adapting it needs tweaks and adjustments along the way.

Yeah, communism isn't a solution that is currently viable.

Capitalism has many forms, and the current form pretty much guarantees you can't "earn your keep". Most societies in human history haven't had trouble accomodating neurodivergent people, for instance. They found meaningful work for them and let them contribute and live fulfilling lives. It's only in the past ~200 years that we haven't been able to and stuck them in asylums.

Anyway I got a lot of travel tomorrow so I won't type out a full tyraid. Maybe tomorrow evening.
