Meh. If SNL is supposed to be light-hearted jokes about nuissances and minor stuff, that's all the more reason to call them out when they sneak in flagrant propaganda.
Anyway, what I posted is the answer to the question that started this thread: no, SNL/Hollywood has not turned on Dems; they're still trying their best to advance the Dem agenda.
in the skit Joe mockingly called the afghanistan pullout good and they called out AOC for hanging out with rich people at the meta gala. they're notoriously light on Schumer and always have been, likely due to the writers room being cozy with his daughter Amy, but otherwise it's honestly not the propaganda laced DNC suckfest you pretend it is.
they will mock the Biden administration plenty, and the gap between that and what they gave to the Trump administration is far less about bias than an actual gap of mockworthiness the Trump regime had. That's what happens when you spout gaffes any time off the tele prompter (which to be fair Biden gets zinged on too), elevate brain surgeons to cabinet positions they're entirely unqualified for, and give preferential treatment to both your own kids and total creeps like Steven Miller.
the entire "but if it was Trump" narrative is moronic, he was both elevated as an entirely new agent of change but then expected to be treated the same as anyone else. boo fucking hoo. the amount of unfairness Trump received was real, but far less than it's made out to be. same goes for liberal bias in the media. the republican party made a mockery of itself only to cry when mocked. indignant AOC supporters are the same, crying when their goddess' "work" is mocked in the media as unrealistic and out of touch.
the cure is simple, support pragmatic mainstream politics and get things done. stop making border security and NYC mask policies your party platform, stop making taxing billionaires Panama Papers just showed have 90% of their income offshored anyways a focal point. get things done even if it doesnt make you feel better than the other side. ironically this call to pragmatism in modern times is anything but pragmatic, because people are idiotic dreamers.
