You know i looked up some stats and realized i hadnt accounted for inflation at all when i was thinking aboutb my own experiences growing up vs current costs. Looked up the numbers and they seem more realistic. Nonetheless im still optimistic regarding the costs and my ability to squeeze every penny.



I forgot to mention asian households get free daycare via grandparents so that definitely plays a role in lowering costs.

Oh I'm sure but by the time you contribute to your kids RESP you're still going to be at that figure easily enough. Doesn't make sense really not to contribute given its free matching to an extent.

I hadnt really thought of resps as an expense but if we're counting it and i do plan on throwing a shit load of money into it then yea the numbers seem more accurate

Its not in those averages to my knowlage it's just an additional ontop. The matching amount and tax advantaged amount isn't that high so you're probably going to have to use a different savings vehicle if you plan on contributing a ton to your kids education which unless you're a non Canadian citizen isn't really needed since our university really isn't that costly especially if you do coops or work terms of some sort which is virtually offered at every university now although its still a bit program dependent.

My coworker is paying more than her rent for childcare while she's at work. It can be absolutely ridiculous.

let em starve if you ask me, hate breeders and their spawns, especially when they're whities. Just the other day I was out at my local grocer and I left my cart unattended for not even 30 seconds and I look back to see these two little white gremlins gnawing at my freshly and very purposefully chosen raspberries - unbelievable. Naturally the cretins creator was off looking at typical trash American food and not even watching over her hellhounds. I was about to say something to that quote unquote 'mother', but I was on a race against the clock - McDonald's was closing soon. Anyway I bet they drove to the store in a minivan with horrible mpg. Probably a Honda... gross. So I leave the store and lo and behold some degenerate didn't even put their cart away and it was bumped up against my luxurious 2011 ford™ built tough™ ranger. I can't say for certain who left it there but I bet it was a breeder.
