When it comes to bot scalpers, those are very nice suggestions. However, it’s more satisfying that their method becomes illegal and deters them from making money. Hitting them where it hurts the most. Their ego.

doesn't make a difference, and it's not possible to be sure of - who is really botting or not.
scalping however should be properly taxed, that is the main point.

It is possible. People are arrested for cyber crime all the time. However, you don’t need bots to scalp. Someone that buys 3-5 PS5 and sells it for profit is not the issue. But someone that uses bots to buy 10000 PS5 for resale is the issue.

You can be a low buyer and use a bot to snipe and buy only a few.

My point of quantity bought is when no bots are used. However, condoning the use of bots would make my point completely moot. Therefore, if big daddy government catches you using illegal programs to purchase items, even if it is 1 item, then they should take you down anyway. The focus must be on the usage of bots. But, it does not seem practical that they catch someone botting if they only buy a few items. So it would be up to them on what methods to use and what to look for when suspicious purchases are made. If it stops these pricks from making a decent profit, then I’d support it.
