Based on what you've said I don't think you visualize at all. When I've asked people they tend to know exactly what I'm talking about if they're a strong visualizer.
I can kinda get what that kind of thought is like if I really focus on shutting down the visualization portion of my brain, but at this point its so ingrained to visualize and have an inner mologue that it's difficult. It's also exceedingly difficult to shut down my monologue for any significant amount of time, but that's probably more my ADHD.

If you look at the star in box #6 in the OP and then close your eyes and try to picture/re-create the image you see in box #6, are you able to do it in a way that includes visual imagery?
Having watched the video, when asked to describe Ronald McDonald surfing, I could EASILY do it. I could tell you the curvature of the wave, the look on his face, his stance, etc. Now I understand what they mean by visualization. I would place myself in the strong visualization camp.

I'm not sure. I can "imagine" a red star, but it's obviously very different from seeing a red star.
Right, this is what was confusing to me. I think I needed a more specific example that I haven't actually seen before for me to know. People with aphantasia are unable to describe such a scenario.
