I'm not in favor of anymore stimulus unless it's highly targeted (bailouts for small businesses, furloughed workers, etc.). I'd also like to see a modest tax increase coupled with this.

I'm still waiting on the second check. Odds seem low on a third blanket check, probably gonna be WAY more targeted to the 'victims'.

Could have made ~20-25% gain on the stimulus check if the government got it out in a timely fashion.

Prioritize unemployment benefits and "save the house/stop eviction" bail out programs targeted at preventing significant loss of homes, through federal tax credits deployed to homeowners/landlords to prevent foreclosure. Landlords would have to agree not to evict and of course it would be an opt in program to prevent taking landlords hostage more than they are...keeping long-term tenets renting longer. It should be a tax credit for the express purpose of paying mortgages, which is latin for death grip. This is my flavor of socialism.

Households that are doing fine can keep doing fine on their own and that would be their wholesome contribution to our national health.

He's a democrat though, so it will come down to a republican voting against party as well

Seems like a good way to lower confidence in a Biden administration. Like 80% approval for the checks and its not like anyone in congress actually cares about spending too much.

Democrats have 51. If Manchin votes against, that's 50/50 with Kamala as the tie breaker.
