"Accountability for thee, but not for me" should be the Democratic motto. It sounds like a colossal waste of time designed to score political points by the same people who have been celebrating violence for the past 9 months.

It would be good if Trump and his children never again run for political office, but that is already virtually assured.

Considering the fact that in a primary with other candidates like last time he can pull 30% and win, considering "mainstream" Republicans like yourself would vote for him again in 2024 if he gets the nomination, I don't know how that is assured at all.

you'd have to hope the GOP is smart enough to just put up 1 guy vs trump, 2 max.

Republican call for unity is more a call for pity imo

Actions have consequences

With that said, what’s the point because he has days in office anyway. If he had months left I would say sure

The point, aside from principles, is that if Trump is impeached then he loses the various lifetime privileges of being President. So no pension ($200K+/year for life), travel budget ($1 million+/year if travel is related to role of former Presidency), healthcare, etc.

i'd love for senate/congress to have their costs made public. im curious what the actual dollar amount this attempt will cost US taxpayers, all to get rid of trump 9 days ahead of schedule.

To be fair, you'd also have to calculate that cost against the potential cost of Trump receiving the various post-Presidency lifetime benefits, including the $200K+ pension and $1 million/year travel/security budget.

And yet I did not vote for Trump in 2016 or 2020.

He has burned far too many bridges over the last 2-3 weeks. He will find winning a nomination fight at 78 virtually impossible.

That's chump change for Donald, he gives salary away why he would need a pension? It's reserved for dirt poor bums like obama

Trump must be FUMING at the fact that he can't rant on Twitter anymore. I'm pretty sure even Fox News ditched him so no interviews there - what a based month.
