This is the most horrible and ignorant thing you could possibly say.

Soldiers do NOT determine how they serve, in the US. The government is a CIVILIAN government. If you want to point fingers and get uppity, do so at the politicians.

All those who served and are still alive and no longer in service are veterans. And ALL of them wrote a blank check, payment including everything up to and including their lives, for the safety, security, and freedom of their nation. They willingly became tools of the people. If the representatives who used those tools used those tools poorly, go after the representatives, not the veterans.

You're a fucking monster. Seriously. Shut the fuck up, Matt.

My closest friend here is a serving us infantry member nothing i said is incorrect, over throwing saddam hussein caused 100,000 civilian deaths so shell could go back to drilling for oil in iraq, this did not make the us any safer, it made it a larger terror target.
I am not saying people who join the military are bad people i am saying they are not "protecting freedom"

Ur employing a false binary. U act as if since ww2 no military engagement has been to protect freedom of both us citizens and people abroad.

Even if u think 99% of what the US does is corporate pocket lining, and thats silly of course, youre oversimplifing.

All to in my opinion express some edgy strawman.

Everything you have said is incorrect. If the civilian government uses the military unwisely, it does not make veterans any less veterans. Nor are veterans serving their nation for "corporate greed". And even "fighting communism" WOULD be considered fighting for freedom, based on the fact that every attempt to install communism results in a dictorship that lacks freedom.

Again, shut the fuck up. Nothing you're saying is valid, nothing you're saying is real. Were it not for the US military, the entire world would look entirely different. Multiple wars were stopped by or simply never started due to the US military. You're blaming those who do not make the decisions for a limited number of actions taken by those who do.

Again, just stop. Your "viewpoint" is fine elsewhere. Why the fuck would you go into threads designed to honor veterans and attempt to dishonor them?

Enough.

Tell that to the 100 australians who died in the bali bombing directly because of us actions in the middle east.

They signed up to do a job, for money, the same as a garbage collector, except a garbage collector kills less babies, my mate mitch came back from afghanistan so shellshocked that the guy i knew was pretty much gone, he told me about the civilians they murdered. IM the monster? get out of here.

if theres one axiom we can count on in pard its that days like 9-11, memorial day, veterans day, etc you will be here to tell people how bad US military action is for the 99th time even tho no one really disagrees.

its getting old, you're arguing mostly against yourself lol. maybe take the next holiday off and go for a walk. and tbh its painfully obvious its an attention thing, and disrespectful at the end of the day.

I guess its more because i grew up around actual war hero's that i just find it odd putting the guys who filmed collateral murder on the same pedestal as the guys storming the trenches at normandy.
I actually said nothing on 9/11 btw.
