Wondering what happened. Don't cops have real criminals to mess with?

Cops' job is to keep the people safe. This entails not only going after criminals, but also against people who break common sense safety regulations. Like, you know, wearing a helmet while driving a motorcycle. The very fact the guy died in a traffic accident just a few moments later is proof for that, lol.

Not everybody supports the state as nanny like in your vision, sir.

Some of us want to be men instead.

When your system of justice always has you making excuses for executioners when something is wrong. It reinforces Thracymachus's claim that justice is a tool of the strong to harm the weak.

Most people in this thread see no problem with white cops commanding black men and believe that death is justified for their disobedience. They've said it in this thread. This extends to all whites with them as seen in the Arbery thread.

I'm generally against nanny state policies, and prefer personal responsibility over excessive regulation. But there are a couple of exceptions. Not wearing helmets while driving a motorcycle is so damn dangerous that it is one of those exceptions.

So dangerous it isn't even required in many states and is a minor ticket?

These laws are so selectively enforced.

And Black Americans are not entitled to self-defense in the United States so they have to flee or hide.

Can you imagine not having the right to defend yourself nor have the right to police protection? The black american experience for many.

Like I said, I had a buddy go to jail for 9 days for jay walking while rasta, dude had good reason to run from these men.

Anyway, hoping they don't riot. That isn't gonna help anything at this point. They just need to fucking vote for once lol.

Lol safety laws are a nanny state. Not wearing a helmet, seatbelt, etc should be discouraged through ticket, just because this dumbass refused to stop and got killed in an accident (the irony) doesn’t make these bad laws.

Cool, I'm glad any resistance to gun control will be justified by both the right and left as non-bad laws encouraging safety.

Something to look forward to in a Biden administration.
