I know I'm beating a dead horse but NYT's bias is ridiculous in there
Almost everything Kamala said was false throughout the debate, from her figures to her misquotes to her anecdote about lincoln
but then the NYT's fact check singles out pence and makes claims like;
Quote
“On day one, Joe Biden is going to raise your taxes,” Pence said. This is false: Biden has proposed tax increases only on households making more than $400,000 a year.
Kamala and Biden said they'd repeal the Trump tax cuts, which cut taxes for people making under $400,000, and was disproportionately weighted towards the middle class.
When Kamala and Biden said they would only increase taxes on those above $400,000, Pence very specifically asked Kamala if they were going to only unravel 'part' of the Trump tax cuts and leave other parts intact
Kamala refused to elaborate and would not make any such guarantee, so the NYT can't claim she has.
It was also a very interesting policy point, because it echoed the debate they were having over Obamacare, where Kamala made the exact same accusation that Trump/Pence were going to repeal protections for people with pre-existing conditions by repealing the ACA
Except in THAT debate, Trump/Pence both very openly declared they would preserve that part of the ACA with functionally identical legislation and/or executive orders, and Trump already issued an executive order declaring pre-existing conditions would be protected in the event of the ACA being overturned.
because of course, that's the very next line in their 'fact check':
Quote
Pence said he and Trump had a plan to “protect pre-existing conditions for every American.” The administration has repeatedly attempted to take health insurance away from Americans, and the number of uninsured people has risen during Trump’s presidency.
Fucking hypocrites
Sheer fucking hypocrisy
