I'm sure they are. There's a typical argument that has validity to it and that is "Cheap unhealthy foods have replaced healthy foods in a persons diet because of the cost". Yes, I agree that is the case in many places. I have now lived in a different place where healthy food is actually significant cheaper than unhealthy food, same trend, people buy the unhealthy food.
You have two significant challenges now when it comes to food. Even if you can healthier alternatives on par or cheaper than unhealthy ones, people are addicted. Kids replicate their parents, the addictive cycle continues.
With unhealthy food, typically we see more package waste, if you can move from unhealthy to healthy you also start to take a chunk out of package waste. How you achieve this now is too much for my small brain.
