thats true but our govt no longer has a motive to spend strategically. affordable health care has really saved me money the last 10 years

id sooner gamble on the genius of those who seek true human potential being achieved than govt dragging us all down to “equality”

Government research isn't usually done by government lol. It's done by funding projects at universities and bringing down continued research cost by private companies.

Man, I wish we had affordable healthcare, unfortunately Obama caved and just implemented the solution Republicans were peddling in the 80's.

so rich lefties fund govt research? perfect tax them even more

oh Obama ‘caved’ in 2009 when he had near-full control of both chambers of the legislature and a SC that ruled in his favor? The bill passed without any (R) voting approval yet he caved?? maybe he caved to insurance companies but whose fault is that.

anyways the bill says it’s affordable and Pelosi said it’s affordable so we passed it to find out

Yes lol. Democrats aren't a united front like Republicans usually are. And the pharma lobby is powerful.

It passed 58-0 with no public option.

It wasn't passing when the public option was included.

public option when it comes to the legislature is expressed when the public voted these representatives into the senate

You should tell them that.

Although there's not correlation between public approval for something and it's likelihood to pass, so it doesn't really matter.

why? civics is taught in public schools and information about our legislative branch is accessible on the internet

2nd part is irrelevant to our legislative system

The 2nd part is relevant. It is not built into our system that the public supporting something will lead to their representatives supporting something, and the data supports this. A public option had and continues to have large public support.
