Now in other situations you see immediate action, taken to the ground, restrained. No two situations are the same and I can accept that, but actions taken appear to be so drastically different cop to cop, its like no consistent training or protocols exist. Some room for discretion and assessment of situations should exist with the Officer but this just appears to full discretion of what action to take or pure confusion.

The incompetence displayed before the actual shooting should be enough to draw attention to the lack of training this force has.

If it's not policy, it absolutely should be so that we don't have to rely on third party videos. It's pretty clear that there's a non-zero chance that they'd try to cover this up if this didn't hit the media.

The police response has been standard. Whether that standard is appropriate is a discussion for another time. The hallmark of state authority is law and order. Mayors and governors have exacerbated the issue by refusing to enforce the law. If you aren't willing to stop riots, you can hardly be surprised when they keep happening.

Bullshit lol. We've had lawyers for the police arguing in court in Portland that they have the right to exclude journalists from covering protests because the police can just tell them what happened, and a restraining order for the police to stop intentionally targeting journalists.

The statistics on police violence aren't nearly as useful as just watching their response to these protests. The response has not been standard, they've been far more violent than response to protests we've seen in just the last few years such as in Hong Kong.

You aren't contradicting what I said. Is police obfuscation new? Police are dealing with more violence now than in recent memory, are we surprised that their response is heavy handed? But this is one of the major problems with public sector unions, perhaps this will be a wake up call to get rid of them.
