Oh no think of the minimum wage jobs! some one else will fill the gap and pay the poor bastards the same garbage wage, would not even notice if amazon was gone.
Go look up the price to fix flints water issues, it will surprise you.

Amazon has been paying double the federal minimum wage for almost 2 years now. Amazon is the 2nd largest employer in the US. It's a bit disturbing to be so cavalier about the loss of those jobs. $15 an hour is quite generous for entry level no-skill warehouse jobs mostly. What do you think the value of an hour of a non-skilled laborer is and how does a small business that's not Amazon pay for your proposed minimum wage? Raising minimum wage too high will put tons of small businesses under the dirt, guess who that benefits? Oh yea your arch nemesis Jeff Bezos and Amazon lol. Ironic eh?

Nationalise resources, create a sovereign wealth fund and use that to fund a ubi and implement a negative income tax that caps out at 40%, close all tax loopsholes and apply tax to all bonuses including share bonuses.
Money will never run out, capitalism continues as normal, the billionaire class ceases to exist, people can still become ridiculously wealthy.

That's not socialism ;)

And regarding resources, look at Venezuela when a socialist regime looks after immense oil reserves any country will be jealous off. That's right, money is gone.

Compare to capitalist Norway, they actually did what you suggest and dumped all their money from oil and gas into a national fund...

Venezuela is a hard country to use as an example, they went from a brutal dictatorship to a brutal socialist regime, they have never had stability and have constantly been under attack from outside interests like the cia.
What really crushed them though had nothing to do with them, saudi arabia tanked oil prices in a beef with russia, when you are a tiny country with all your eggs in one basket and that basket is kicked over you are going to struggle.

Venezuela was in trouble way before that happened. It's a story of complete mismanagement, no doubt corrupt people in high positions ran with large sums of money. Not very socialist to their fellow comrades.

More than half of Venezuela’s economy is private and always has been.

You also seem to have no comprehension of the various viscosities of oil reserves or how global oil prices work. Get back to me after you have an education, little man.

Also, they had over a decade of improvement under Chavez. This is indisputable fact. Chavism was a massive improvement over laissez faire capitalism.

I truly hope you get socialism in your neck of the woods. Don't come running back to us like people from socialist shitholes tend to do. Google Venezuela refugees cuz you're ill informed kid

The idea that every problem is solvable by government is silly, yet so many pretend it's true. There's no good reason to think that Baltimore would be in better shape with Republicans in charge... in fact, it would probably be worse.

The people that have to put up with scores of homeless junkies crapping all over the streets most likely disagree with you.

Not all problems can be easily solved but when it comes to dealing with stuff like drugs / homelessness the liberal policies clearly make things worse.
