You hate black people, women, homosexuals and transgenders. You're first pretending to care for black people by bashing on women, and you're now pretending to care for women by bashing on transsexuals. It's so transparent I could read my newspaper through it.

I don't care about what the "courts seem to agree" with. The bottom line is that women should feel no restraint when coming out with their stories. The true issue here is backseat detectives on social media finding it more important to ruin a person's life (who, as you pointed out, is not proven guilty) than to support the woman who claims to have been raped. Pinning this on the #MeToo movement implies that the alleged victim herself should have kept her story to herself, which is where you show that you don't give a crap about her. And since you don't personally know her, this shows that you don't give a crap about women (or any rape victims) in general.

Perhaps you should reflect on the inverse. This entire thread has devolved into whataboutisms and deflection away from the fact that a hard-working immigrant was accused and convicted of a phantom crime with zero ability to clear his name or otherwise face his accusers. It violates almost every precept on justice we have in this country, and fits a routine pattern of toxic "cancel" culture that many on this forum deny even exists.

The issue at hand is anonymous allegations that purport to tell a "woman's story" but which are non-falsifiable by virtue of the fact that the accuser or her story has never been made known to the accused.

This is inherently linked to the #MeToo movement, which as most social movements do, started out pinning identifiable crimes on real criminals, but has since devolved into a modern day witch-hunt that has now claimed a young man's life.

Alright, we all get your point.

Now, if you are honest about this, you'll do three things:
Step 1: Collect data on how many people have committed suicide after being accused of rape.
Step 2: Collect data on how many people have committed suicide after having been raped.
Step 3: Continue your fight against the #MeToo movement only if it clearly does more damage than good.

I'll help you a hand. Both data points are completely impossible to gather, because many suicides happen for unknown reasons, and many rapes happen without anyone other than the victim ever knowing about them. So, your point about #MeToo being harmful is not falsifiable itself.

So since you are against defending non-falsifiable claims, you have a few options:
- Collect that data after all, and prove me wrong about it being non-falsifiable.
- Stop complaining about the #MeToo movement.
- Be a hypocrite.
