He had it coming though. He was still tweeting anti-mask stuff the day he was hospitalized. And on his website, his staff wrote "It's impossible to know where he contracted the virus. There will be a lot of speculation about the Tulsa rally, but he was traveling through a lot of places that week, including Arizona which saw spiking cases at the time."

Someone who had survived metastatic stage IV cancer (and thus being part of the high-risk group) exposing himself to this amount of risk does qualify him for the Darwin Award, whether you like to admit it or not.
The bottom line: you should not engage in reckless behavior. You really really REALLY should not engage in reckless behavior if you belong to a high-risk group.
