Generally speaking all corporations understand is growth. They aren't necessarily interested in humanity, culture, etc. So, to them, there seems to be no need to preserve thing like different languages when they can homogenize everything into the most efficient language possible. Again, who knows but maybe one day artificial intelligence comes into play in a big way and really jumpstarts the siphoning of human culture.
I don't think artificial intelligence is going to nearly as big as people think it will.
Well, I don't think general artificial intelligence will get as big as people think it will. AI will get big, very slowly, in very specific tasks, and expand regularly from there. The idea that we will have a general AI that does any job you tell it is still science fiction.
