They can take authoritarian moves that our constitution doesn't allow. It's not surprising that during emergencies that require everybody to be on the same page an authoritarian regime can outdo any democracy if managed properly.

The cost of doing well in these kinds of things is that the citizens can just be disappeared if they step out of lines when there isn't an emergency. Is that worth it? I'd say no, not even close.

While I fully advocate for public health standards, such as mandating masks, there is a balance and what China did certainly crosses boundaries that I personally am comfortable with.

Not to mention there numbers are obviously fake so if you actually want to have an argument it’s impossible because your comparing:
The country with the most testing per capita in the world to the country with the least amount of testing per capita in the world

Country could re-open if the public understood what is required for the next year

Impede all rational conversation on how to open effectively and safely

The real preventative measure is that the Democrats want the economy to fail and Trump to lose. Therefore they will have this shutdown last forever.
