No it doesn't lol. One decision doesn't define the supreme court judge. Just because he or she didn't vote the conservative position on this one doesn't mean he or she doesn't have a track record of voting conservative or will somehow drop their conservative stances going forward.

You call yourself a Christian yet you voted for Hillary who would have nominated very progressive judges, one's who would have rolled back religious freedoms and who would have probably mandated public funding of abortions and making them as available as a 7-eleven.

Well, for someone like yourself, it may not matter. But a very bad judicial outcome on religious liberty from one of Trump's Supreme Court picks certainly matters to voters who justify their support of him based on judges.

This recent example just makes my vote for Hillary make more sense. The culture is going to continue to move left, and it's delusional to expect conservative justices to somehow pull us back on abortion and gay rights. That was an argument I made against Trump at the time.

"Pull us back"

As a christian i'm always going to be against abortion, just because the culture is leaning pro abortion doesn't mean we should just lay down and let kids get killed because hedonism and convenience is more appetizing, or because you're too much of a coward and are afraid of what your FB friends will think of you.

But seems to me like the ship of your christian principles has sailed, nowadays you're more concerned about some old guys etiquette on twitter.

Separation of church and state is respected by some people.

Separation of church and state doesn’t mean that religious people get no voice at all. Just because icemage embraced being a cuck and rolled over because he doesn’t want to go against the culture doesn’t mean tens of millions of American Christians will do the same.

Its weird because so many people calling themselves good christians vote for a political party run by such godless men in the GOP.

And good Christians don't oppress gay people. That is solely bad christian stuff there.

Gorsuch is a smart cookie. I wonder if he is playing some 23D backgammon with his strict textualism interpretation of the Civil Rights Act in this case so that he can use his own stare decisis to bludgeon down affirmative action in the future. God, I hope so.

I do think it is interesting that textualists like Gorsuch make reference to what lawmakers might have wanted or meant in their opinions. I've maintained textualism and originalism are mutually exclusive ideologies, yet Conservatives judges frequently refer to themselves as both.

Meanwhile, Alito is reeee'ing in his dissent about bathrooms.

I can't wait to see how the left will spin the "BLM folks think gays should be killed" situation that's gonna be coming down the pike.
