I don't think the reasoning is valid, this Floyd was out of drugs, tried cure after, and he still got killed in unacceptable way. I also don't know exactly how he pointed his gun, or if he was really aware she was pregnant.

Lol. Everybody agrees he was wrongly killed.

They just disagree that he should be worshipped and praised.

If he was high on meth and fentanyl and got stabbed that night by some random guy on the street, would we care?

Studies have also said white police officers are more likely to kill a white person versus a black person as well. But I'm not going to comment a ton of them, I've seen them referenced but never personally looked at them.

For sure. They also said, police are assaulted by deadly weapons about 14,000 times a year. And only kill 900 people.

A lot of those 14,000 times would have been justified use of force. So they are showing restraint.

I agree with people saying there's bad cops of course, criminal justice system could be improved, etc. I'm on board with that part.

I'd also estimate that as another 10% being 'unjustified' at most out of the unarmed ones. So maybe 1-2. Actually might be on the high side since the cases are so few over the past 10 years it might not add up to 10-20

but at any rate, candace's best statistic was the one about the likelihood of an unarmed black man being killed by police vs odds of police being killed by a black man

You are pointing out poverty, drugs, social exclusion. Great.
Shortcut to 'riots' is too quick imo. People are not focusing on him during these protests.

/e yet I think Owens message counts but is far from decisive to take a stand.

Maybe Duncan Lemp can posthumously identify as black so there can be some justice in that case.
