Even if this bill did become law, how long would it last until the Supreme Court strikes it down? Perhaps 2-4 weeks?
Also... can this be passed with a simple majority in the House, or does it require a supermajority?
Similar story in New Zealand, where the government issued a mandatory gun buyback in the aftermath of the Christchurch shooting, and it fell completely flat, it was a total dud.
Some of it passes Constitutional muster.
It needs a majority in the House. It will need a supermajority in the Senate.

A gun locked up in a safe on a 75 acre block 4 hours from the nearest town is not on the streets.
Semi automatics are the guns that kill a whole bunch of people really fast.
That's what we wanted to prevent.
Good luck walking into kmart with a bolt action single shot rifle and trying to kill more than 3 people before you get tackled.
I have never stated all guns were banned anywhere at all, stop reaching.
And yet there are more urban than rural firearm homicides.

Our last real mass shooting was in 1990.
Yeah... no.
