First bold: Yes that's what I said in OP. And I posted a vid from 2013 but it's been going on for much longer.

Second bold: Butthurt? What I point out in OP is that EU PARDians very eagerly point fingers at US immigration policies while we now have proof of the EU facing colossal issues of it's own. You haven't explained to us why we should take the EU's critique on US' immigration even serious.

Let alone that you explained how taking such a position is even morally acceptable when the situation in your own countries resemble modern slavery.

Try again and try harder this time.

in general there's very little reason to take EU criticism of just about anything seriously. Apples shouldn't criticize oranges.

I got a feeling it's mainly the purple and blue haired apples that showcase these double standards

try what exactly? i am highly critical of this specific situation going on in the country i live in, and have been so for years. that does, however, not mean that i'm not well aware that similar problems exist literally everywhere else where capitalism rules, or that in america for example that isn't limited to specific industries and migrant workers, but that the average american worker is much closer to this than most europeans, who enjoy significantly more protections against exploitation.

again, this is in no way trying to justify anything, i'm just trying to explain to you that the existence of this problem does NOT mean one can't point out how much worse the situation in the US is, which seems to be your main goal here, confirming my suspicion from earlier (not that it wasn't already blatantly obvious).

if you're just triggered that this subforum is mostly concerned with american politics, you can simply try to change it. maybe some of your fellow countrymen are eager to learn more about the world, but apart from trying to bash other countries based on a hilariously limited amount of knowledge about them, mostly based on ignorant stereotypes, i have seen little evidence of that.
still, i welcome topics like this - even if they were made for the wrong reasons. you just have to learn that criticising a specific thing in a different country does NOT imply approval of every single thing happening in your own country. that's just poor reasoning in order to create some 'moral' conflict or 'double standard' where there clearly is none.

you're just a triggered boy who can't deal with the fact that their country is being criticised - and by a FOREIGNER at that! reminds me of that jim jefferies bit about gun control. really funny how prevalent that particular issue is with uneducated americans - one of the side effects of jingoism, clearly. here's some piece of advice, kid: you are NOT america, you're an individual. try to understand the difference, maybe it'll help you grow.

Meh. May those who are without sin cast the first stone.

I remember all the threads about rapefugees and no-go zones spammed in here.

I'd also like to add that if there were more than one EU-issue thread, there'd be more to discuss towards EU-specific issues. The reality though is that engagement from us to US-specific issues is higher than the other way around. Quite probably because of the slant in the userbase, with the far majority of the users being US-based.

I appreciate your effort and how you manage to swallow your bile for a bit but the second half of this reply of yours gives you away nonetheless.

It's you ending up triggered and in need of creating some kind of a notion that this forum is somehow for US capitalists only while we all know this is an international game forum with plenty of nationalities around and all comers are welcome.

And you're simply stating you agree that the topic I posted is terrible practice by the EU because the evidence is overwhelming. There's no room to even try to get yourself out of that mess.

And you missed the fun part: The superior EU with their superior working conditions etc etc falling flat on their faces xD

I hope you're not talking about that rote armee fraction because that was pretty bad what those far left radicals did to politicians. Would be material for a brand new topic.

He's talking about Pete Hoekstra, the US ambassador to the Netherlands.

The rote armee fraktion is well known for a series of far left attacks / brute murders on politicians. I don't know of anything like that ever happening in Holland.

It's just fender trying desperately to steer this topic in another direction I guess
