it is truly astonishing how people are incapable of even owning up to the most fundamental errors this man should take responsibility for

EVEN things that are on the record without question are quickly dismissed, unbelievable

The hospitals were on their own during this crisis. Trump offered no help, hope, and he has even undermined their efforts repeatedly. Nobody in health care likes him at all. Everyone wearing the same n95 mask everyday and he is denying a shortage of equipment gtfo.

All he had to do was follow the Obama playbook not disband all the infrastructure put in place to deal with this. That hurt his narcissistic supply though.

Mike Dewine won me over though.

Are we ready for the huge spike on cases after this weekend? Things are opening and its nice out...perfect time for us to fuck up all progress we made against this disease lol.

I have a friend in the Cleveland area who is a card-carrying socialist, and he's said that unless DeWine starts personally bombing abortion clinics or something extreme, that he'll vote for him, due to his leadership during this crisis.

I abhor DeWine mostly because he's basically a Bush crony and his neo conservatism is still bad but at the end of the day he has shown he at least is a leader and during times like these, you want someone like DeWine at the helm.

as mentioned, tests per capita is a better figure than the absolute number of tests due to population sizes

as an example, Indonesia is relatively close in population size and is much closer to China in proximity. why is the United States suffering to such a higher degree in terms of confirmed cases and deaths?

well one of the reasons is because more people are at risk here. lazy lifestyles, poor diets, and insufficient/nonexistent stress management techniques are just a few factors that contribute to that.

in Indonesia they just topped 1,000 deaths. in America we've just topped 86,000. there are 7 people in America for every 6 people in Indonesia, yet the ratio demonstrated is 86 to 1

I feel the same. I don't like his policies but he has been a great crisis leader and I feel like he is truly working hard to do what is best for Ohio and Ohioians.

I'm more or less in the same boat. Also if Kasich had won the GOP nomination i would have voted for him 100% over HRC.

that's crazy. how sad is it that doing the bare minimum to protect your citizens is considered some kind of heroic feat by many americans - so much even that for some it's enough to pledge their support to someone who simply sided with scientists and experts over an incompetent, science-denying president...
shouldn't that be just the bare minimum? i mean, i get the political cost it has to defy the cult leader, but there's a whole party (and possibly options without any affiliation) of NOT science-deniers, that would not even have to have made that calculation in the first place... your 'friend' might be messing with you.

Nazism - say it loud enough and often enough, people will begin to believe it. this is sadly the psychological warfare that has been conducted via journalism

You and I have a different definition of bare minimum.
