Humans aren't always supposed to be able to comprehend God's plan.

If modern science can not explain exactly why gravity exists, does that mean if it fake? Of course not.

Humans are limited beings.

Yep. For certain topics, the end result of debate is: "God chose to do it this way, and we can't fully explain why." There's always some level of mystery involved if you have faith.

I started with the beginning of the beginning, Genesis. Lots of questions came to mind. Let’s start with this

under the assumption that God is all powerful, and can transcend in time, did he know Eve would eat the forbidden fruit? why go through the process if he already knew she would eat it, and then punish us humans?

Also just before the Noah part, God mentions regretting creating humans. God had feelings? And again, why create humans in the first place if he knew they would conduct themselves in an evil way?

convert me

Perhaps God is livestreaming the universe into another dimension, and wanted to broadcast a good story. A story of a species that was in paradise, and lost its privileges due to their own faults, and regains its status after millennia of struggles in their way to become enlightened again.

Maybe rapture will happen when we begin acting boringly, making the ratings go down and getting the show canceled.

the exit door of the obstacle course with clouds rather than the one with flames, duh.

No. If there is this biggie 3O god , or even a demiurge of some sort, what could possibly be the goal of what is essentially his game, our reality?

If your world view is true nobody gives a fuck about individual souls and they have to be a metric for something.

Pretty fucked up keeping the flame door accessible.

god's motivation doesn't change your life. you're in the maze, figuring out why it was built wont get you through it any faster.

for all i know god created an infinite number of realities with varying degrees of free will and different underlying circumstances to test what free willed beings would do and how many could pass a test where the rules of sin are the constant in his experiment. would i like to know what degree we live in? yes. would it change my rat race? nope.

That's the only important motive though. In scale we are less interesting than ants. The idea of an omnipotent being pining over our every move is one of the most narcissistic ideas I can imagine.

I can see the practical reasons one would join a religion and have faith. Religion and faith work for some folks.

I'm more or less a nihilist. But a pragmatic one.

if you know your boss is a narcissist would you constantly point out their faults or no? of course not.

u cant know god is a narcissist because you only know what you know, you know what it feels like to watch ants, you dont know what it potentially feels like to observe the ebb and flow of a human soul through it's life. u know only a tiny fraction of what every person, even your wife, has seen/thought/felt. if u could see it all at once, it would make ants seem dull in a way u cant imagine.

God gave humans free will, so we will all make choices and decisions.
Even though God knew what Eve would do, he still has to let it play out so that all our choices will have repercussions (meaning judgement can be made/passed AFTER we make the choices of our own free will).
Interfering with our choices or decisions means he would be breaking his own rule of giving us the free will. Therefore it does not happen and everything must be played out for everyone.

He still did it all knowing well what would happen. Cut the shit.
