Liberals don't typically like someone who argues in favor of repressive regimes all over the world.

Right-wingers, or fake conservatives/libertines enjoy him because he helps them attack the Democratic party.

You're a boring troll who probably would've given up the act years ago absent whatever mental illness you have. I'd argue that PaRD deserves better ones, but that would be a lie.

So you're telling me that Democratic voters who would pass specific legislation if they had the power to do it themselves are supporting the moderate candidate who can win and at least get something done?

Shocking.

you grew up with everything and managed to vote for bush twice, romney, and then clinton.

Yang makes another smart choice.

We're getting closer to Bernie Sanders fading into irrelevancy.

Not too much longer now, men. TY.

Warren will endorse Biden soon enough. She doesn't want to unlatch from the DNC teat.

Bernie Sanders is already won the primary. You will not be the nomination but his issues dominated the conversation.

you are deluding yourself if you think that's what's behind biden's support, and that's what's going to happen. biden will not oppose the insurance industry, the military industrial complex, or corporate lobbying in washington - and i have a feeling you know that too...

Polls in some states showed support for various "progressive" policies were the good majority, and Biden still won. Biden will work to get things done. He's not going to support political losers.

those idiots never worked out that polls asking "would you like a seafood dinner" didn't equal out to "ok lets go to red lobster now, you're paying".

I'm not even joking around anymore. Why are you cataloging my posts from 2017? And tracking who I voted for when I was 13?

the difference is the conclusion we're drawing from this:

- you think people made an informed decision to support biden, because they think he will get at least some of the 'progressive' policies done.
- i think people are (once again) falling for empty campaign promises - by someone who has a long political record documenting that he will side with his donors over his gullible supporters.

doing the same thing over and over again (like voting for an establishment candidate), and expecting a different result (like getting ANY meaningful change on progressive issues like universal healthcare / affordable education / adequate wages / opposing wars / regulating wall street / protecting consumers / fair taxation of corporations and rich people...), is the definition of insanity.
as long as politicians keep accepting legalised bribes from the very people whose massive wealth is based and dependent on opposing those things, nothing meaningful will change.

speaking of idiots, you'd have to be a special kind of stupid and dishonest to still be regurgitating the moronic 'well of course they want stuff if you offer it, they just don't want to pay for it' narrative - especially when study after study shows that universal healthcare might actually be CHEAPER than the current system, and when some of the other ways to finance the 'free stuff' (like taxing the rich and corporations adequately / opposing expensive forever wars / taxing high frequency trading) are similarly popular.
