Soleimani is responsible for the deaths of at least 500 american soldiers and civilians in the past two decades. To say it was an unprovoked attack is ridiculous. Gwb and Obama both considered plans to have him killed during their time in the white house, they turned down the plans not because Soleimani didn’t deserve to die but because they were worried about the public reaction.

He was a terrorist and a mass murderer operating in the open because he was protected by the popularity of his terrorism in the region. We let it go on far longer than can possibly be justified, his support of the attack on the american embassy on new year’s day was the final straw, and the world is much better off without him.

Dick Cheney has had 100,000+ Iraqi Innocent Civilian deaths on his hands alone (comparatively he was in same position during Bush years as Soleimani guy) can Iraq blast him into ground as well when he visits Canada/Mexico next time with a drone? Or is that American double standard thing where Americans get to screw with other nations and they can't reply. Those 500 american soldiers/civilians knew what they where getting themselves into, occupy foreign nations soil = deal with resistance.

Doesn't seem like he ever supported terrorist acts abroad, at least no concrete evidence presented, and seems like he was always fighting against perpetrators of those acts Al-Q/Taliban/ISIS , so from neutral perspective he killed 500 American occupiers who never had any right to be in middle east occupying foreign country (mostly Iraq where he was involved in), committing war-crimes ordered in by bio-trash financed by oil corps. keen on de-nationalizing Iraqs oil industry, furthermore their success in bringing down Iraqs dictatorship led to rise of Isis and strengthening of Al-Qaeda and chaos in the region so ultimately American soldiers where the mercenaries whose empty-headiness "to serve their country, be big soldier derp derp eagle/stars/big guns/american police of the world mentality" led to surge and golden age of terrorism in the middle east we are witnessing today.

Resisting US occupation =/= terrorism no matter how hard US wants to sell that idea to the world, no pity for those America lost in Iraq war/occupation after tbh, good riddance if anything they are gone, when person is too dumb to think for themselves and willingly participates in illegal occupation based on a lie that has been publicly exposed as a lie, yet they are imbecile enough years later to enlist and be deployed to middle east, its better off that their DNA is gone from the DNA pool altogether.

So don't claim people as ignorant, Soleimani didn't board a plane and go to San Francisco and blow himself up in public or co-ordinated events like that , he led the factions and guerilla groups who primarily where the locals/citizens of the places where us occupation has taken place and thats not terrorism, if you fail to grasp how thats different from terrorism its you who are ignorant.

Soleimani was not only sanctioned by the usa but also by both the EU and the UN for his terrorist activities. You can find that info on his wikipedia too if you keep scrolling.

You’ll also see that he provided military and financial aid to hezbollah(a terrorist organization according to every country in the world) in their efforts to murder as many jews as they can.

He also provided support to Assad’s genocidal regime.

I can keep going if you want. The guy wasn’t defending his people from america, he was wreaking havoc on the world to the full extent of his power based on religious fervor and racist zealotry.

Hezbollah’s consists of many groups as well, its not one well organized entity like CIA or anything, European countries work with certain groups who are officially part of Hezbollah . As far as I can see only way he has been "glued" to terrorists actions abroad is through off-shoot radicalized cells of those organizations without any proof they where carrying out terrorist plots under his orders. An Iraqi who fights in Iranian-proxy against US, ISIS etc gets radicalized unknowingly for himself joins a cell consisting of Al-Queda/ISIS members and are directed/supplied by those organizations and carries out terrorist act in Europe as an example. It doesn't mean that suddenly a general who co-ordinates that proxy group or advises them (often have no direct control over Iranian funded proxy guerillas) is to be blamed for that act of terrorism because one cell goes rogue...

The whole middle east situation is extremely complex/there are many different moving parts of every organization there but they are very lose, and often times 1 part can be extremely radicalized while the rest isn't, yet they both could be allied because it suits them to overpower Syrian rebels/Isis/Al-Queda/Kurds .. Middle east is a mess, very few can make out who is who and often military alliances consist of one big nation such as Turkey/Iran/Saudi etc which indirectly links 3-4 smaller groups that officially proclaim to be part of one or other medium sized faction that on paper are at war with each other at certain places where those factions operate.

Trumps point "They get to use roadside bombs against us?" , well guess what Iran or more importantly proxies it funds don't plant those roadside bombs in Ohio by your elementary school, what is US still doing in Iraq? Still searching for non-existent weapons of mass destruction? Oh I forgot they decided to illegally occupy and destroy a country/nation - customs/traditions/way of life they had no clue about and by getting rid of Hussein who actually kept order and radicals in check created breeding ground for terrorism the size of United-Kingdom, nice going, I bet starting a full scale conflict with Iran who is doing around or supporting factions doing 60% of the fighting against ISIS/terrorist factions allied with them at the moment on the ground, will really help resolve things.

"Assad's genocidal regime", have you seen footage of Aleppo prior to the rebellions? It was a normal working city, poverty sure, corruption sure, but at least some part of population had normal even by western standards life style, what is it today? USA comes into these countries supports the revolting minority, cries foul when they are dispersed and gets involved, disposes of the "evil tyrant", puts monkey government in its place that cannot control the mess that erupts after strong-armed dictator kept order and prevented one ethnic group from massacring another for something that happened 100 years ago, and all hell gets let lose, then we get more radicalization, more wars between these factions formed by the power-vacuum left behind by Assads. Is it so hard to get your head around that Syria/Iraq/most of middle east needs a dictatorship, that their political history/customs/way of life depends on having a dictator who can settle things quickly/inhumanely but keep greater evil from happening? Libya enjoyed same salaries most Americans make under evil genocidal Gaddafi, USA went there got rid of him, created another hot breeding terrorist bed, and flood gates through which half of Africa/refugees are trying to get into Europe and Europeans have to deal with results of American world policing bs.

Did you even read why Trump signed off on killing him? Not trying to antagonize, your question worries me tbh.
