My personal opinion is that celebs shouldn’t be criticised too harshly for speaking out on issues provided they aren’t being ridiculously hypocritical, like talking about climate change while getting private jets to take them around places.

Sounds like a reverse appeal to authority fallacy. Not listening to someone's views based on their title or socio-economic status is pretty dumb. Not all celebrities have lived full cushy lives.
