i think i see why the left side of the isle has been stating you've been growing lately.
it hasn't been growing towards center, that's for sure.
how someone who raises our economy from the grave is harmful to our country is beyond me.
yeah he 'grew' from resisting a (D) president to resisting a (R) president which is why the resident pale pasty privileged lefites are warming to him. icepeon has literally rooted for the US President to fail for 11 years now. he's an anti-american loser

oh right i forgot. "orange man bad".
"trump is horrid president"
"trump is just following obama, who was the best president"
ok?
there are quite a few economic illiterate people litter this subforum. it's quite humorous.
just look at the predictions pre-2016 election:

that parts definitely on point
I mean yeah, the republican party used to be too far right during the evangelical death grip and followed up with the tea party.
The party that was once vehemently anti-gay is now pro-gay marriage
but not in favor of sex reassignment surgery for 8 year olds. They support legal immigrants but not illegal immigrants. They support Catholics and Hindus and Sikhs and Jews and atheists alike but eye Muslims warily. Back a decade or two or three ago I would have considered this the sane middle ground between the wingnuts like Michele Bachmann and the communist wackjobs who held no power. Aaron Sorkin wrote his West Wing pol-fantasy about having a centrist Republican like that some day. Its only natural that when the GOP shifted left, the Overton window shifted with them. We wouldn't have headlines about "Trump misgenders Chelsea Manning" in 1999, jesus christ.
I think you're overstating this... and also I'm not sure it's because of Trump. The gay marriage issue was decided by the Supreme Court, and society as a whole has become more accepting of it, so it's natural for acceptance to go up among Republicans. Honestly I think a lot of supporters thought of Trump in 2016 as the symbol of a cultural backlash against lefitism in it's many forms, whether it's BLM, transgenderism, or even issues like gay marriage and unrestricted abortion. It's true he shouldn't be that symbol, but religious conservatives believe he is. Just look at all the nutty talk about him being "the chosen one" and such... these are religiously motivated people supporting him because they believe he fights for their values.
Part of the motivation for Republicans to stick with Trump is conservative judges... and part of the motivation for conservative judges are issues like gay marriage and abortion.

Of things with realistic chances of passing through Congress? A renewed, permanent AWB and red flag law on the federal level.

AWB, red flag law, hate speech law, unenforcing immigration law, emptying prisons willy nilly, legalizing narcotics and putting kids through SRS/HRT
I think all these concerns boil down to a consistent single thread of "civil liberties for me and not for thee", seeking to push liberties beyond the point of causing public harm for their favored groups while infringing on clear constitutional rights for disfavored groups.

My greatest fear is that Hilary Clinton will come charging in at the 11th hour to "save the day", and will have enough momentum to win the presidency. I don't see this as very likely but I think that is the worst case scenario.
If the Democrats were smart they would rally behind something like a Mayor Pete / Tulsi Gabbard ticket and have a very strong chance of winning vs Trump. When you compare Bernie / Liz / Biden vs Trump, it makes them look old. Plus Trump would destroy them in the debates.
I don't necessarily like how Trump behaves himself but I do respect his accomplishments.

I'm curious... do Trump supporters think there's some magical way that he's grown the economy?
If Mike Pence passed the same tax cuts and regulation cuts, which is likely had he been president, do you think the economy would've grown at a slower pace? If so, why?

this i can more agree with. stating that the lack of discussing policy is due to trump, is faulty at best.
democrats have aggressively pushed back on everything trump has aimed for. border security and trade being 2 very large issues of his.
instead we had russiagate and impeachment. outside of the "GND", what has your democratic congress advocated for?

what facts? not only is his policy nothing like obama's.
the only thing you've stated is that you think they are the same but you don't like one probably because of skin color.

Has anyone been chalking up Trump's economic success to anything other than tax cuts, deregulation, fabled federal spending and maybe just maybe long term trade optimism?
