It's pretty well-documented that you're far more likely to be a victim of violence by speaking out against the "democracy demonstrators" than by the HK police.

Basically, the HK police won't hurt you unless you endanger someone. But, these "pro-democracy" vigilantes will beat you up if you disagree with them, as if that supports free speech and democracy...

It's an absolute shit show. If anyone speaks out against the protesters (who disrupt normal life and make it nearly impossible to get a train/plane/bus/go about your normal life) the protesters heckle or even loot/raid/destroy facilities of anyone who speaks out. It's absolutely far worse than any action they condemn from the Chinese government.

The protesters speak out against tyranny but are actually more tyrannical than that which they are protesting.

In fact, the mainland army has not interfered except to go help clean up mess in peacekeeping and humanitarian fashion.

Does anyone think it's strange that the leader of the protesters is a 22 yo kid?

Should be an old white man I'm sure lol. Don't worry, they will cast Tom Cruz as the leader in the movie.

The Hong Kong government is run by a corrupt oligarchy backed by organized crime, both completely under the thumb of one of the most tyrannical states the world's ever seen, so that would be sort of rich.

I feel bad for the average Chinese citizen; uneducated, and reduced to grovelling to a hereditary aristocracy that controls nearly every aspect of their life.

Whats more violent/worse? breaking glass and minor casualties as part of a movement fighting for democracy and freedom??

OR millions of to death convictions without fair trial.

Or the millions of deaths due to poor healthcare

or forcing your labour force to work for literally pennies to do the dollar for 7 days a week

Or the Tienanmen square incident where over 2000 protestors were killed my the army during peaceful protests?

Or the other countless massacres by the Chinese government against their own people?

stfu 'brainwashed media' you have no fucking idea where I am getting my news sources from. It is ignorant and naive to assume you do.
